Sir,
Greetings from PVCHR.
Through this letter I wish to bring to your notice, the case of Sri Sahansar Pal Singh, presently Circle Officer, Chandousi, Dist: Moradabad, UP.
According to this media report, Mr O.P.Gupta, resident of Chandousi has suffered immensely in the hand of Mr Singh when the later was posted in the same place as Inspector in 2008. Based on Mr Gupta's complaint NHRC has directed an investigation against Mr Singh by CBCID. The investigating agency found all the complaints against Mr Singh to be true. The agency has filed a case against Mr Singh in the Chandousi Kotwali in the month of May, 2011.
Mr Singh has been posted back in the same circle where a case is being registered against him. Now Mr Gupta not only fears for life of his family but also written the NHRC to look into the matter.
Sir, on behalf of PVCHR, I request you to look into the case at the earliest and take necessary actions to ensure that the alleged police officer did not succeed in subverting the legal process and at the same time threaten Mr Gupta and his family.
