This is to bring to your notice that  Mr Muralidhar Patra, a young dalit human rights defender of Telkoi, Keonjhar district has been taken by SOG police on the night of 10th October 2011 at 11.30pm while he was moving in a local festival in Tisco mines area of Kaliapani, Jajpur district of Odisha.

Mr Patra had intervened in several cases of human rights violaon related to police atrocities in the past and continuing his activity for the protection of tribal and dalit rights against corporate terror in the densely mining area of Jajpur andKeonjhar district.His movement was earlier against the timber mafia for illegal cutting of Telkoi jungle. he has also been raising his voice against massive corruption in MGNAREGA work. He was in target of local mafia,contactor and police.

Sir, please look into the matter an ensure that no physical and mental torture takes place to Mr Patra.
